WMRR’s NSW Waste & Resource Recovery (WARR) Forum, Sydney (AUS)

From China Sword and disasters both natural and pandemic, to the ongoing threat of fires and challenges such as asbestos and PFAS, there’s no doubt it’s been a tough few years for our essential industry. However, these challenges have put a spotlight on waste and resource recovery (WARR), highlighting the importance of material management, and the need to have a strong and resilient sector operating in Australia.

There is definitely a clear recognition at all levels of government of the value of our industry, not only for supporting local business and communities but the role we play in driving investment, creating jobs and mitigating carbon. NSW is no exception, and there’s a lot of activity underway, however will it be enough to hit the targets set out in the NSW Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy?

This day-long event will bring together all levels of government with local and national industry experts to discuss the current challenges and future opportunities for the NSW WARR industry on its path to 80%.
