The facts regarding the challenges in the fields of energy, climate and the environment
are on the table. The requisite technologies are available and energy policy guidelines
have been drawn up. The Paris climate agreement and the Energy Strategy 2050 are
there to guide us into the future. Now that the well-meaning strategies have been drawn
up and promises made, all that is left to do is to put them into action. The driving force
behind a successful energy and climate future will be the companies themselves. The
task now is to overcome barriers, break down walls and move forward with the aim of
making a difference together and helping to shape tomorrow‘s world.
The motto of SwissECS 2018 is “ON THE MOVE – CO-CREATING THE CHANGE”.
The 12th instalment of the leading conference for energy and climate issues in Switzerland
is dedicated to the opportunities for change and will outline the next steps
to be taken in the quest for sustainable development, for example in the fields of
transport and mobility.
